New Playlist: "Telephone"
I love creating playlists that put together artists that would otherwise never drive in the same lane. With that in mind, I created "Here & There," a playlist with songs about locations, and now I am ready to share a new compilation of jams.
This time, it's all about telephones.
The "Telephone" playlist shows the evolution of how humankind has interacted with this Alexander Graham Bell invention, which became a constant theme in popular music that has yielded many, many, many different types of songs about life revolving around this particular communication device.
From Blondie's "Call Me" (1980) to Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" (2012). From The Kinks' "Party Line" (1965) to Drake's "Hotline Bling" (2016). From Steely Dan's "Rikki Don't Lose That Number" (1974) to Khalid's "Saved" (2017).
"Telephone" is a playlist to connect with.
