Star Wars Celebration 2017
Star Wars Celebration 2017 happened in Orlando, FL this April 13th through the 16th, celebrating the 40th anniversary since the release of the original "Star Wars" movie, now better known as "Episode IV: A New Hope."
I was able to attend the convention on its first day, Thursday, April 13th, and it was truly a dream come true for a Star Wars fan such as myself.
As I met up with my friend Dax and we went on to begin our journey, however...
Once we made our way inside, we were faced with all these incredible recreation of some our favorite Star Wars characters.
And some bad ass Lego creations.
Once inside, the opening panel was just starting, featuring writer-director George Lucas, Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker himself!), Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd, and composer John Williams. I was able to watch Billie Lourd's teary moment talking to the Star Wars fans about her late mother.
And then I saw John Williams play live his most iconic Star Wars musical scores.
After the panel was done, I went around to check out some cool Star Wars artworks.
And obviously take pictures on the sets recreated there.
And can we talk about these Legos!?!?!?
Star Wars Celebration 2017 was a day that will last forever in my memory, carrying an even extra weight for being the 40th anniversary of Star Wars.
Now I guess I'm gonna have to come back every year!
