New Music Friday (Sep 22, 2016)
"Starboy" came out yesterday as the lead single for The Weeknd's upcoming album, also titled "Starboy." The song was produced by Daft Punk, which is a dream-come-true type of collaboration for my ears. I've been completely hooked on it.
Actress Scarlett Johansson used to have a supergroup called The Singles, but it is now called Sugar For Sugar and they did quite an amazing cover of New Order's "Bizarre Love Triangle."
Lady Gaga's "Perfect Illusion" is now a couple weeks old, but the music video for it came out on Tuesday and, in my opinion, it gave the song a totally new life. Gaga is rock-n-roll now.
I've always had a soft spot for Skylar Grey. Her new album "Natural Causes" came out today and there's a lot of buzz surrounding her track "Kill For You" featuring Eminem's return.
If you're into latin music, Ricky Martin's new "Vente Pa Ca" featuring Maluma is definitely the track for your weekend. It seems like Maluma is everywhere right now and I'm not mad at all.
